The Photograph I have chosen to copy.
I have chosen this photograph to copy because I think it will be a challenge but also It does look quite fun to do, with the writing and the actual pose I will have to get into the frame.
My final manipulation
To create this image by changing the tint to a dark blue also by changing it from colour to black and white . I also changed the levels making the blacks darker and the whites lighter. I also made it more contrasted. I then cloned the black in certain areas to make the black background and also fill in the light areas around the chin. I then used the spot healing tool to get rid of any spots or moles that didn't go with the photograph. I then added the texts in the colours that was used in the actual DVD front cover.
My chosen photograph
This is my final image I have picked out to manipulate to look like the front cover of the film Prom Night. I will then manipulate the photograph to make it look as close to the actual dvd front cover as I can.

Photoshop Manipulations
First of all we uploaded an image to photoshop and then selected Elliptical Marquee tool and chose the circular one.
We then drew a circle on the image. Then went to select, Modify and then to feather.
You then came up with this box you had to change feather radius from 5 to 150 pixels.
You then go to Select and inverse.
And then finally you go to filter, blur then radical blur.
you will then come up with a box like so.
you then click on the zoom button first of all.
then move the arrow to 80 and press okay. Your image should then look like this.
Then you do the whole thing again up to where you get the radical blur box up.
Still having the amount at 80, then press okay and you should then come up with an image that looks like this.
Then to get rid of the circle just click on the image.
We then got a new image up and did the whole thing again but this time instead of going to radical blur we went to Image then Adjustments and then finally to Hue/Saturation.
You will then come up with a box shown below, and we then changed the lightness to a bit darker and pressed ok.
your image should then look like the image below.
We then got a new image up and did the whole routine again instead of going to hue and saturation we went to filter then blur and then finally gaussian blur.
you then will come up with a box shown below, you pull the arrow across to however blurred you want the edge to be and then press ok.
You then should end up with an image shown below.
Finished.

Digitally Manipulated Images.
This image has obvious got layers put into it to get that music paper into the photograph they probably made the opacity of it quite low so you could still see the image underneath it, also it looks quite paint like so they could have made the photograph more Art like by changing the filter on it.
I feel this photograph is particularly clever, they have obviously changed the photograph to black and white and also using a few layers to build up the image, by having the main focus on the eye with the tear, the tear could also have been put into the image. Then having another image or two put into the eye being the couple and the buildings they have obviously changed the opacity in the images as well.
These images I am guessing have been taken normally plus a few other images and they have taken the lips and eyes from the other images and put them onto these. but copying and pasting. They probably have changed the levels as well making them a lot brighter.
This image is truly amazing I'm guessing they have taken a picture of a women with short hair and brushed her hair to the side and then they have made a new layer and then gone over the image in red and making it really bright, Then I'm guessing they changed the filter to a more liquid state.
For this photograph I'm guessing they took pictures of a single cat in different positions and then used lots of layers placing the cats in different places in the photograph then using paint to make them the different colours that they are and then changing the opacity of them so they aren't that bright.
Photoshop Part 2.
Introduction.
This is part 2 of the photoshop assignment, we have 6 weeks to manipulate an image the exact same as a famous photograph using tools on photoshop. We will research up to 6 photographers preferably something to do with the theme we are going for. We have the choice of a photograph to create.
